Everywhere At Once: Leeds Joins the UK's Most Ambitious Grassroots Music Weekend

Leeds' independent venues are part of Everywhere At Once this weekend — a city with one of the UK's strongest grassroots scenes showing up for a national moment.

25 June 2026Leeds

Leeds has always had a scene. From post-punk to the nineties indie explosion to the grime and electronic music that defines it today, the city's grassroots venues have been the constant thread. This weekend they're part of something national. Everywhere At Once, powered by The National Lottery and Music Venue Trust, runs from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 June 2026 across more than 400 grassroots venues across the UK. ## Leeds This Weekend The Brudenell Social Club, Headrow House, Lending Room, Hyde Park Book Club — Leeds' independent venue network is one of the strongest in the country. Several are hosting shows this weekend under the Everywhere At Once banner, from established touring acts to the city's best emerging talent. The Lathums are playing two Everywhere At Once shows this weekend — including a return to The Boulevard in Wigan, the venue that gave them their first break. Their story is the grassroots story: local rooms, local communities, national breakthrough. ## What's at Stake Thirty grassroots venues closed permanently across the UK between 2024 and 2025. Leeds has fought to keep its rooms open — and largely succeeded. But the fight isn't over. Everywhere At Once is a reminder of what's worth fighting for.
