The people behind the music
Senior Artist Booker at The Tivoli Group. Books artists across The Tivoli, Fortitude Music Hall and The Princess Theatre. One of Brisbane's most influential live music bookers.
Brisbane born and raised, Dane Beesley is one of Australia's most celebrated music photographers. Over a decade shooting for Rolling Stone magazine, Dane has documented the full sweep of Australian rock and roll — from sweaty pub stages to festival main stages. His 2011 book Splitting the Seconds: A Photographer's Journal is the definitive visual document of a generation of Australian music. In 2025 he won the Olive Cotton Award People's Choice for his portrait of Eamon Sandwith of The Chats — a photograph that strips away the larrikin stage persona to reveal something more considered beneath. Also a co-founder of Text & Image, the West End street press magazine that ran out of the Absoe Building until the wrecking ball came.
One of Brisbane's most significant music industry figures. Greg co-founded QMusic in 1993 — the peak body for Queensland's music industry — and spent three decades building the infrastructure that underpins the city's scene. He ran Music Worx in Fortitude Valley, led community music projects for Brisbane City Council, and has mentored artists across generations. Today he manages Jungaji (Troy Brady), the Western Gugu Yalanji and Birri Gubba songman whose Queensland Music Award-winning work is one of the most important First Nations music stories in the country.
The peak body for the Queensland music industry. Provides artist development programs, industry events, advocacy and the Queensland Music Awards. Essential resource for any Queensland artist.
